Faith, Prayer, and Mission: Holding Firm in the Love of God

In witnessing faith in marriage, sixteen couples from St. Monica Kware Parish in Ongata Rongai, became witnesses of hope in marriage that to some people seem impossible.
As they renewed their marriage vows, the couples became living witnesses of faith, love and unity. Their “yes” is not only to each other but also to God’s call to fidelity and love.
The couples chose a perfect moment to celebrate their vows as the Church marked World Mission Sunday, celebrated under the theme: “Missionaries of Hope to All Peoples.”
In his address during the celebration, Bishop John Oballa called the faithful to renew their missionary zeal and be a sign of God’s love to all. “Missionary activity is sustained by prayer, solidarity, and generosity. The Church calls us to renew our missionary zeal, to be a sign of God’s love to all — especially to the poor, the hungry, the suffering, and those far from faith.”
He said asked all to announce the Gospel through their prayers for missionaries, through witness of life, and through acts of generosity that make mission possible.
